House VVA is situated on a wide plot in the village center of Wortel, Belgium. Passages are provided on both sides of the site as easements. The modernist house on the left is a protected monument from the interbellum by architect Van Steenbergen. The new building matches the modernist house in terms of scale, depth, articulation of the storeys, material and cubic design. Despite the unfavorable orientation, you can still enjoy the sun thanks to the patio, which is completely surrounded by glass. Through the steel grid of the patio, the whole basement is accessed by daylight. The ground floor is closed but spacious. Because of their specific details, the windows become constructive elements.
