Workshop Boisbuchet

This case study took shape in a workshop at Domaine de Boisbuchet in France. Polycare had only constructed with their building system in Africa, where the building requirements are more basic than in Europe. They therefore decided to join forces with dmvA to realize a house within the European building requirements by means of a workshop. The architect designed a completely circular and demountable house according to the dry construction principle. The foundation consists of galvanized steel screw piles that are connected to each other by a steel ring beam. The floors and roof were constructed using local timber beams and slabs. The structural work of the house was completed in less than 1 week by the inexperienced participants of the workshop.
